WHAT DOES LL.B STAND FOR?
-> LL.B is an abbreviation of the Latin ‘Legum Baccalaureus’ which translates to a ‘Bachelor of Laws’ degree.-> LL.B is a five-year undergraduate qualifying law degree which leads to an entry into the legal profession.
WHY LAW?

Career paths following the Legal Profession

Advocates
After successful completion of LL.B, one can establish his/her career as a practicing lawyer from lower court level to a higher court level. It is one of the most common field that a law professional can choose after completing their law degree.
Judicial Services
Law graduates can join judiciary by passing the judicial service examination, and can become a Magistrate, District and Session Judge, Civil Judge after clearing the examination.
Civil Services
After completing LL.B, if you are good in academics you can invest an ample amount of time preparing for competitive examinations.
Public Prosecutors
Public Prosecutor is a government appointed advocate to represent the State in criminal matters.
Jobs in Academia
After completing law degree, people often want to work in law schools, colleges, and universities. In order to get into legal academia, one must complete their post graduate degree in law. Post graduates in law with LL.M or Ph.D degree or those who are qualified have excellent opportunities to serve as law teachers.
Corporate lawyer/ in-house lawyer
